Antionio Tarver Will Fight Australia's Danny Green

Former undisputed light heavyweight champion Antionio "Magic Man" Tarver will now face hard hitting and highly regarded Danny Green of Australia on December 1st. I'm glad Showtime rejected Tarver's preferred opponent, George Blades, who is coming off a loss and would most probably provide least resistance against him. Not saying Blades is not good but Tarver should step up and fight the better guys out there. Thanks to Showtime, they preferred Danny Green as the opponent. Green will definitely be a harder challenge for the "Magic Man" since he possess huge punching power as evidenced by his number of KOs (22 KO in 24wins).

Antonio should stop avoiding stiff challenges and man up. He has been avoiding the young WBC light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson. He cited differences with Dawson's promoter Gary Shaw and asked for so much money as if he was the champion and Dawson is the challenger. He priced himself out in short but I believe they battle each other soon unless he gets by Danny Green. Green has a puncher's chance and can stop the fight if he lands a clean punch.

The fight is still subject for commission approval currently but will most likely happen since Showtime, who will be broadcasting the match in the USA, wants it.Your text goes here

Oh and Tarver fought last July against Elvir Muriqi who was supposed to be an easy fight for the "Magic Man". Muriqi took Tarver into deep waters and turned it into a very close fight. Tarver still won, luckily for him.
