Dana Calls it a Draw

Between Henderson and Rua, they both scored a knockdown in the first round, Henderson seemed to get the better end of the exchange in the first and in the second round, it looked like Rua was done in the first two rounds. I did not believe he would even make it to round three. Henderson tried to finish him off in round two, but Rua wasn't having it! He tried to take it to the mat instead, and beat on Henderson a little bit. Round four was when Rua woke up. lLanding hard hits, and taking Henderson to the ground, only to have it reversed on him at the end of the round. In round five Rua's Cardio took over, and it was all ground and pound practice for Rua. Dana white considered it a draw saying,“I thought it was a draw,” “This is one of those tough fights. In the first round, they both knocked each other down. You give Henderson the first three rounds. You give Shogun (round) four and 10-8 in the last round for a dominant round. It’s a draw,” he explained. “It’s one of those tough ones. That’s how I scored it. I scored it a draw.
“I don’t consider myself a professional judge, but I had the fight a draw.”
