Kimbo the Pro

Kimbo the Pro Boxer, as of late is apparently making a name for himself in the ring. The street fighter turned Pro-fighter is still green to the sport. His promoter Jared Shaw, believes that Kimbo is on the right track, and is blossoming into a full fledged fighter. I, however wonder if this will last. He is a power house, we have seen this kind of thing before, Mike Tyson, for example. Shaw said of Slice, "
“He’s a fearless fighter, he’s angry, and he has a chip on his shoulder. This is a different game altogether than mixed martial arts. This is a man who is used to fighting in backyards and in the streets. When you box you’ve only got two things to worry about: defend yourself and throw punches.”
His MMA debut, ended quicker than it began. Kimbo was dropped faster than the value of American currency last year, by a fighter named Seth Petruzelli in 14 seconds of the first round, definitely a TKO. Feet up, and body stiff, while still getting pummeled it was not a pretty ending for him. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, sure he has major knock out power, but can he transition into a well rounded fighter? I guess the real question is: Is he willing to learn? Or will he just feed on his anger, and hope that will carry him through?
