Anselmo Moreno won the WBA bantamweight title Saturday with a unanimous decision victory over Wladimir Sidorenko in Dussedorf, Germany.
Among a pro-Sidorenko crowd at the Burg-Wachter Castello, the much-taller Moreno (22-1-1) won what turned out to be technical fight by scores of 116-112, 116-112 and 116-113.
Sidorenko (21-2-2), who is from the Ukraine and now makes his residence in Germany, was making his seventh title defense.
