MUNDINE'S NEXT MOVE....
June 3rd 2008 01:15
Anthony Mundine has officially resigned as the WBA Super Middleweight champion as of Friday 30th May 2008. ‘The Man’ has chosen to relinquish his belt and focus on his new lease in the middleweight division rather than face mandatory challenger and former conqueror Mikkel Kessler.
The focus now turns to Mundine and his next move and more to the point, his next opponent. It is tipped that he will attempt to challenge German Felix Sturm for his WBA belt rather than Jermain Taylor, Ronald ‘Winky’ Wright and Kelly Pavlick who also hold world titles.
Mundine is expected to step up to the light heavyweight division if successful against Sturm in an attempt to be crowned a three division world champion.
