UFC 137...Scrap It?
October 25th 2011 01:55
The only thing I can say is "Holy Crap!" This fight card is just taking an a $$ whoopin' ! Another injury plagues UFC 137, Brad Tavares is injured and out. No details as of yet.
Tavares started his career in Hawaii, in 2008, racking up 5 wins, three by way of TKO, and two by submission. In March of 2010, he was placed in the 11th season of The Ultimate Fighter. In the elimination round he KO'd Jordan Smith, and was the fifth selection by team Liddell. Beating James Hammortre in the second preliminary fight, he advanced to the quarter finals. The quarter final fight was with Seth Baczynski, who threw an illegal head kick at Tavares, he imeadiately apologized but was disqaulified, leaving Tavares the winner. The semi finals paired him against Teamate, Court McGee, a rear naked choke by McGee cost Tavares the fight. The finale pitted Tavares against Baczynski for a rematch. Tavares took the decision. At UFC 125 he defeated his opponent Phil Barone, by TKO. UFC 132, had him facing Aaron Simpson, which resulted in a unanimous decision against.
He was expected to face Tim Credeur at 137, but instead was reset to fight Dustin Jacoby. Now Jacoby will face a new guy named Clifford Starks.
Dana White has got to be pulling his hair out...I mean, well you get where I'm going with this...At this point though, I really don't see how they can justify 45 dollars for this fight card. I love the UFC but I feel the only thing that they can do to save face, is give this one away.
