UFC 139

November 17th 2011 21:40
All right, now here's a fight-card I'm excited about. One fight in particular that I can't wait to see. Cung Le vs Wandrlei Silva,If this one goes how I hope it will, we're looking at fight of the year! Let's start with
Cung Le
Wanderlei, ( The Axe Murderer ) He holds the record for the most KO's in Pride Fighting Championships history. He is currently ranked as the 21st best middlewieght fighter in the world by FightMatrix.com. He is a former IVC Light Heavywieght Champion, former Pride Middlewieght Champion, and the Pride 2003 Middlewieght Grand Prix Champion. Silva has fought some of the best of the best, in UFC and won. With Victories over guys Like; Quinton Jackson, Dan Henderson, Guy Mezger, Keith Jardine, Hidehiko Yoshida, Kazushi Zakuraba, Richard Arona, and Micheal Bisping he is certainly a force to be reckoned with. While he was Pride fighting, Wanderlei earned a rep as never having lost to a Japanese Opponent, resulting in pride setting up multiple fights against Japanese opponents for him. Silva's Five year unbeaten streak was broken by Mark Hunt, a K-1 Champion in a 2004 Pride match, a controversial split-decision as Mark outwieghed him by 80 pounds.Silva, has been a fighter in the UFC since 1998 and is still around and still winning fights. That says a lot.

Le, also known as ( The human Highlight Reel ) is undefeated in his San Shou career (16-0).He's won three US Open International Martial Arts Championships, four Us National Championships, and was team captain at the World Wushu Championships in 1997 (Italy) and (1999) Hong Kong. He defeated Shonie Carter in San Jose in 2001 to win the IKF Pro-Light Heavywieght San Shou World title. Le fought in K-1 competitions, in which his record is (3-0). He entered the Strikeforce Division in 2006 where he dominated the sport. In 2008 he broke Frank Shamrocks arm in a match promoted by Strikeforce and EliteXC earning him the Strikeforce Middlewieght Title. He relinquished the belt after securing a major motion picture deal. With three major US films to his credit, and roles in three upcoming major flicks, this man looks hard to beat. his kicks are unlike anything you see in MMA today.Fight Fans... I can't wait for this one!
