UFC St.Pierre vs. Condit
October 16th 2011 05:45
Condit, while fighting since April of 2006 has only been in the UFC since April of 2009. His other fights took place in the WEC. His five WEC matches, resulted in victories in each one. Stepping into the UFC, he only sports one loss( Condits first UFC bout) and four wins, one split decision, and three KO's. Also his loss was a split decision. At age 27, standing six foot two, at a buck seventy. His striking is defined as dynamic and quick with lots of KO power.
St. Pierre, has experience advantage, having been a fighter in the UFC since Jan of 2002. Racking up twenty four fights, all wins save for two. One loss to Matt Hughes, and one to Matt Serra. Eight of the fights won were by decision, seven unanimous, and one split decision. At age 30, Standing 6 foot, also weighing in at 170,he still is, pound for pound one of the best fighters in UFC history. Some complain that his fighting style is too safe. It's said that the fans want the highlight reel. Excitement and brawling, while energetic and fast paced, doesn't always get the job done. St. Pierre has excellent stand up, and a ground game that won't quit, not to mention unbelievable cardio. He has been around a long time, and I believe he be around a lot longer. It should be one Hell of a fight!
Any predictions?
